My family and I live on
Canada's west coast, in a wonderful village called Deep
Cove. A twenty minute drive gets us to a Vancouver. A ninety minute drive in the
other direction gets us to Whistler, home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, best known for
its fabulous skiing and snow boarding. My home
business has given my family free time to truly enjoy
where we have chosen to live.
.
Our home overlooks Indian
Arm. Indian Arm is about 23 kilometers (14 miles) long
and up to 219 meters (720 feet) deep. In the summer
months we enjoy getting out in our inflatable zodiac
which we have equipped with a quiet little 8 horsepower
outboard. We enjoy the fresh air, the scenery and we
often swim with the seals.
This picture was taken from Panorama Park and shows a small part of Deep Cove covered in snow. During our winter months, there is always snow up the mountains. It's a very rare winter day when we have to shovel the stuff. This was one of those days. Some people imagine Canada is snow covered year round; it isn't.
